This two semester, online class builds writing stamina and analytical reading skills as we move throughout the year. Using literature as our backbone for ELA learning, we read four books together - two in the fall and two in the spring - and students will learn how to identify character traits, new vocabulary, and plot structure. They will also learn  about research, plagiarism, and grammar, as well as demonstrate their learning through various writing pieces, review games, and class presentations.

Fall semester - 14 weeks
Dates: August 29 - December 12 (No classes the week of Oct. 24 & Nov.21)
  • Assigned Work for the week: approximately 3 digital assignments each week - reading, writing, and either grammar or an additional reading skill assignment

Spring semester - 15 weeks
January 16 - May 7 (No classes the week of Feb. 19 & Mar. 25)
  • Assigned Work for the week: approximately 3 digital assignments each week- reading, writing, and either grammar or an additional reading skill assignment

Semester Cost: $300*
*Private pay is accepted in three (3) $100 installments
