Y'all, this class has helped my "can't-stand-reading" third grader become interested. Tutoring sessions with Mr. Josh has given him the confidence he needed to be a very good reader. Ever since 7th grade, I've been a student in Mrs. Joyce's English class. Since then, I have learned so many new and practical skills to know, especially as a future writer. Mrs. Joyce has been, not only an amazing teacher, but also someone whom I know I can go to if I'm struggling, whether it be a poem I had no confidence in or a simple misunderstanding of an assignment, Mrs. Joyce is nothing but understanding, incredible, and simply one of the best. Whilst in her class, nothing was too complicated or complex, and some of the assignments I quite enjoyed. Being someone who can't sit still for more than an hour, I enjoyed having the freedom of, while still engaging with everyone, being able to sit outside or play with my rabbit as our meetings took place live online. When I was first enrolled, I was honestly quite intimidated. I knew I enjoyed writing poems or short stories, but I couldn't even imagine becoming a writer or poet. Now, going into high school, I've been taught so much, and now I have the much-needed confidence that I can pursue my newfound dream of becoming a writer. Mrs. Joyce's class has been such a memorable, educational, and truly marvelous experience, and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of it. I am so happy that I made the right choice of staying in this back in 7th grade. - student |

Experiencing new writing has always been my thing! I have been doing different writing curriculum until now! This writing class has changed everything for me! The format was amazing! I enjoyed learning things the easier way! Your {Mrs. Joyce's} style is a whole lot better than what I have done before! Instead of it being boring, it's fun! Working with you is fun and easy! My 8th grade son has taken this ELA class. Sheri is an exceptional teacher. She teaches a great curriculum that meets standards and allows the acquiring of skills, but most importantly, engages her students.
