Sheri Joyce              Owner/Instructor

Sheri is a 12 year homeschooling veteran who holds a B.A. in English from Sacramento State University with a minor in History. 
 From substitute teaching in public schools, working in various classroom settings, homeschooling her own children, and running a large homeschool co-op, Sheri has over 25 years of teaching experience. She has always loved the impact of well-written words and helping others to love them too. Sheri enjoys reading (of course!), movies, and spending time with her family.

Joshua Joyce
Instructor/ELA Tutor

Joshua has Josh has four years of tutoring and teaching under his belt and is pursuing an English degree. When not reading, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hope, drawing, building Gundam figurines, and playing with their two cats.  Having won several local awards for poetry, Josh has a penchant for stringing words together in a powerful way. Josh loves teaching and encouraging students in their own pursuit of reading and writing.

Resident Mascot

Fred is the face of WRF and our well-read gremlin around here!  He gets so excited about ELA topics that we figured we'd keep him around.
He loves books, critical thinking, writing funny stories, and encouraging ELA adventures!
