This two semester, asynchronous class focuses on the 7th grade Social Studies standards for CA. Medieval history spans from the fall of Rome to the Renaissance. Students will learn about the cultures, religions, and lasting contributions of various cultures around the world. The first semester focuses the fall of Ancient Rome, rise of the Byzantine Empire, Islamic civilizations, China, Sub-Saharan civilizations, and Meso-America. The second semester focuses predominately on Medieval Europe and it's impact on the world and, more specifically, the United States. We grade all work assigned in class unless a family requests otherwise. New students are welcome mid-year, based on class availability. Assigned Work for the week: approximately 1-2 digital assignments each week, which include reading passages, mapping, etc.

Parent's Role In The Class: Our biggest request is that parents check in on their student's grade and work in Google Classroom weekly so nothing is a surprise later and helps bolster the learning experience as well as the accountability of students.
